Прогулка по Стоунтауну
Стоунтаун - старинная средневековая сердцевина города Занзибар, небольшая его часть
Много древностей для разглядывания, но я люблю смотреть на людей
Поэтому вот такое кино:
Отдельно о соборе: он сейчас на реставрации, но можно зайти и глянуть на уникальный алтарь: я такого никогда не видела!
Образа в алтаре выполнены из красной меди - чеканка
Первый раз вижу чеканку в храмах христианских! Не оклад, а именно сам образ - чудны дела твои, Господи!
А от этой мозаики повеяло детством: мы жили на ул. Горького в доме, который был построен на месте разрушенного храма, и вечно копали во дворе ямки, в поисках осколков камня с золотой смальтой. На каждом балконе хранилось долгое время такое сокровище, а нас в квартире было трое детей, и поэтому у нас полбалкона было под сокровища занято :)
Узкие улочки, неспешные люди...
Обедали мы в забегаловке - знакомство с городом через желудок :)))

Но подарок судьбы в виде невиданного доселе чуда рос рядом: баобаб весь усыпанный плодами!
Я полчаса изображала басню Крылова "Лиса и виноград", в современной обработке - "Лисси и баобаб"
Но ни один орех баобабский на меня, к сожалению, не упал
На рынке, кстати сказать, продаются кусочки этого ореха засахаренные и крашенные в малиновый цвет, так что утешение у меня все же получилось, и баобаб я попробовала
Рынок видно издалека - алые паруса над ним, и запах специй задолго выдает местоположение
Вот что подумалось: овощи у всех на планете примерно одинаковые, ну разве что на островах Кука их корнеплод более экзотический, и в Китае-Тае много зелени, которой только ЮВА славится, во морковка, лук, картошка, перец - это везде
А вот фрукты у нас отличаются! Причем отличаются больше всего разнообразием и количеством: яблоки и виноград и здесь растут!
Зато у них брусники нет )))
Сохранился старый форт, и здесь культурный центр: галереи, сувениры, и по выходным устраиваются какие-нибудь праздники
А вот это гвоздь программы: мешок цемента 50 кг нести на голове - ничего особенного! Я это не первый раз ивжу, но изумляюсь всегда!
Ну и детки очаровательные - этот мальчонка - прямо кинозвезда у меня!
